Chapter 131:Farm

Dinner is about the same as the food at noon, but because of the color of barbecue crocodile meat, everyone eats with relish.

Jason announced his next steps while eating. In the evening, everyone rested in the crocodile field, and the big troops began to leave tomorrow morning.

“The Pachaeochi Observatory?”Dr. Mario recalls the area he visited as a young man, "I can't believe that the dwarf forest has been built into a landscape."

“Is there anything funny there?”Dr. Martin drank his coffee, and she raised the skewers in her hand, “Is there an animal that tastes better than this?”

"I don't know, I ate all the dry food," Dr. Mario shook his head, "and occasionally pick some wild berries to eat, and I remember a red berry that tastes very good."

“Are you talking about raspberries?”Dr. Martin thought about it and said, "The woody plant of the rosecoon."

"It should be, old age, I can't remember its name," Dr. Mario ate the hotly cooked rations and didn't notice some rice grains on his beard.

Dr. Martin reached out and plucked the grain of rice from his beard and threw it into the fire, "Wait for them at the Patheriochi Observatory, and the journey will be delayed for at least one day."

"No way, we can't leave our companions," Dr. Mario said, watching his assistant stir the coffee with a spoon, "I know you're worried about the progress of the research project, but since Jason has his own arrangements, we'll all have to plan."

"It's not just the progress of the project," Dr. Martin put down the cup in her hand, and pushed the glasses on her nose, "the mysterious man, I've lost it."

“I lacked the right equipment to track his tracks,” Dr. Martin said. “The more information he grabs around, the more crisis I feel, which is beyond the realm of pranks, and this mysterious man has a very clear purpose and plan.”

"And V&Lton is not honest with us," Dr. Martin continued. "That's what bothers me most."

"You have too much to think about, Martin," Dr. Mario looked at her. "If things are beyond your own ability, let it go and do what you can."

"When we get to New Orleans, we'll inform Washingtonn through our base there, and I'll try to talk to the politicians there."Dr. Mario continued to put a spoonful of rice in his mouth, "Now, just don't think about these things, enjoy the food here."

"Well, I try my best not to think about them," Dr. Martin picked up the meat skewers and put it in his mouth and took a bite.

The perimeter of the spectator area was also set up on fire, and in the evening, Jason arranged for eight soldiers to be in charge of the camp's vigilance in two shifts, mainly to prevent wild animals from entering the audience area to hurt the people inside.

Kim and Hill wrapped in blankets to sleep on the bench, neither of them was very sleepy, Kim was still after the afternoon of that beautiful dream, she hoped to be able to connect the dream after falling asleep at night, so that the comfortable and comfortable time in the dream lasted for a while.

Hill looked quietly at the dark night outside, thinking about Selena leaned over Thompson’s shoulder before dinner. Now she is like a little girl who has been robbed of toys, and her heart is very tangled, even if she does not like the toy very much.

Thompson sat by the fire, surrounded by young girls from the research group. The cowboys are telling them the story of Texas, which is full of ranches and Spanish-style towns.

The life of the pasture was deeply yearned for by the girls in these institutes, where the trees were green in early spring, the grass and shrubs were covered with a layer of light or deep green in the fields, and in the endless pastures, cattle, sheep and horses, and the handsome cowboys on horseback.

It’s a paradise for adventurers, and every year a lot of people who love outdoor experiences come to Texas.Because most of the terrain is extremely open, people camp and hike here during the day, and at night they can lie on a blanket and stare at the stars in the night sky.In the more to the west, there are both the mountains and the vast desert.

Thompson showed the landscape of his hometown in front of the girls like a picture, and immediately attracted their amazement.

“If we get to Houston, I want to invite you to my hometown,” Thompson said excitedly. “My hometown is in Temple, next to Belton Lake, which is beautiful.”

"Even if you don't invite us to go," said Selena, "I haven't ridden since I was a child."

“I learned when I was very young.”

Hill covered his ears with a blanket, and Thompson's voice sounded a little noisy in her ears, and she wanted to get up and go to Jason, but she was afraid that this would expose the relationship between the two men and cause trouble for Jason.

“Kim, are you asleep?”Hill turned and asked the companion lying next to him.

“Huh?”Hill’s voice interrupted Kim’s after-scenes of the afternoon dream, “What’s wrong?”

“Come with me, I can’t sleep.”Hill sat up on the bench, and she put the blanket aside and put her shoes on her feet.

“All right,” King sat up in a blanket, accompanying Hill around the audience area.

“Do you have a heart?”Kim saw Hill’s appearance and asked her.

"No, just eat too much, want to go, to promote digestion."Hill smiled and said, just with a hint of impetuousness between the eyebrows.

The two men came to the edge of the spectator area, intending to walk outside, suddenly flashing a soldier from the shadows next to him.

“Two ladies, please don’t go out,” Brandon, who stopped Kim and Hill on the alert, “is dangerous in the wild nights, and although we have set up fires on the periphery, they cannot fully guarantee the safety of those who go out.”

“There’s something boring in it, can’t you come out and walk?”Hill pointed to the neighborhood and said, "Walk here, we're not going too far."

“It only takes a few seconds for an American crocodile to swallow a living person,” Brandon said. “Madam, how likely we think we’ll be able to get you back in a few seconds.”

"Hill, let's stay in it," King urged Hill, "and here it's not in the base, but here."

"Well," Hill nodded, and she said to Brandon again, "you're right, thank you."

After Brandon watched the two men back, he continued to watch the night outside, and with the help of the infrared thermal imager in his hand, he could clearly spot the animals nearby.

Only a few waterbirds were in the bushes, but Brandon did not dare to be careless, he had seen the American crocodiles here, and had no doubt about their danger.

By dawn, Jason’s soldiers had begun packing, and it wasn’t long before everyone else shouted.

“What happened to you last night?”Thompson saw Hill's spirit not very good, his eyes are a little puffy, he handed the coffee to Hill's hand, "Have a drink, refresh, today our destination is the Pachaiochi Observatory."

"No, thank you," Hill coldly declined Thompson's coffee, "and I want some clean water."

“Okay, I’ll get it for you,” Thompson put the coffee next to him and turned to the mineral water.

“I can go myself,” Hill passed around Thompson’s side, leaving only one back in front of him.

“What happened to her?”Thompson didn’t know why Hill was so cold to himself, and he asked Kim next to him, “Where did I offend her?”

"I don't know," said Kim, stalling, "let's not all our energy on thinking about this problem, it's important to pack things first, and everyone is ready to go."

“Well, Kim, if you know why, please tell me,” Thompson said.

"Well," Kim began to tidy up the blankets on the bench, "the next time you ask so many girls to go to your hometown, be sure to tell them everyone that they belong to the first group of invited."

In the shed in the audience area, only a pile of bonfires have been left imprints, and the garbage generated by everyone after spending the night here has been buried and disposed of, including the bones and internal organs left after the mutilated crocodiles.

Four trucks were started, the road after the rainstorm was softer, the truck drove by left a striking trace, Jason chose the route to follow the outermost edge of Dade County, trying to avoid the city and village. There is no shortage of supplies, so it is mainly for security reasons to stay away from these densely populated areas.

The first stop from Highway 9336 to the Everglaze was the Ernestco Visitor Center, which is about six miles from Jason’s current location. In Jason's plan, the team would take Route 9336 from this location and continue west until they reach the Paherucci Observatory.

The road from the crocodile field is not easy to walk, and because of the heavy rain, the ordinary road is muddy. When the truck drove from above, it often splashed high mud, everyone sitting in the car felt some bumps, and some people began to hold the iron railings in the caravan with their hands.

The car went all the way, and it didn't take long for everyone to take everyone in front of a dense forest, and the lead driver stopped the car and took out the map to start checking the route.

“Where is this?”Jason asked.

“The Hamerke bird conservation ring,” said the driver, pointing to a location on the map, “less than two miles from the Ernestko Visitor Center.”

"Look, there are a lot of birds there," Jin put his head outstretched into the thick forest while the car stopped, and saw a group of white birds flying out of the forest, which was quite spectacular.

“There was a river in front of me that seemed to be able to cross the farm in the north and drive early on Route 9336,” said the soldier, who looked at Jason, wondering what Jason was going to do.

"Well, be careful to avoid danger," Jason said, carefully observing the direction to the north. "There may be survivors."
