Battle in the Farm
Chapter 133:Battle in the Farm
A drop of sweat crawled through the eyelashes and seeped into his eyes, and Matt felt some tingling in his eyes, and he turned his head away in the direction of his shoulders and wiped the sweat on his forehead on the clothes on his arm.
Matt's hand began to shiver a little, and the actual battlefield surface of the gunfire and rain made the captain who had been calmer also began to be nervous to be somewhat confused, and Kevin and the other two security guards were not much better.
The professional soldiers were much more capable than they were, and most of the dead who had been shot fell to the muzzles of Tom and his men.More than a dozen zombies have fallen on the way from the warehouse to here, but more and more zombies are pouring up from behind.
The four corpses at the door of the warehouse had been eaten, the zombies whose faces were stained with the blood of the soldiers seemed still unsatisfied, and the fresh flesh made them even more mad, and the zombies stood up from the ground and joined the army of zombies they rushed to Tom.
"Hang," a grenade blew up in the group of corpses, and Jason came with support.
“What about Rodrigues?”Jason yelled, his voice over the blasts and gunshots, “Why didn’t they sound the alarm on the walkie-talkie?”
"They're dead, Major," said Tom, relieved to see Jason bring reinforcements, "and no one expected so many zombies to pop up."
"MD," Jason heard a moment's kung fu loss of four brothers, his heart was full of anger, he pulled out a grenade, the fuse was pulled out and lost out, "fire to me a little more."
Tom and several other soldiers also began to throw pitchers at the group of corpses, and the sound of explosions spread on the farm, and the sound of more zombies around them. The support team had to split the staff to fill the defensive gap in other directions, and the shortage of manpower in the team was exposed at this time.
"Don't let them near the truck," cried Jason, "Elvis, take your squad over and hold me the truck."
" Ben, Jeremy, Bobby, come with me."Elvis beckoned to the brothers next to him, and the four quickly rushed to the truck, where they occupied a favorable defensive position.
"It feels like the TMD is in ambush," Tom saw in the sight of a zombie's head removed, and he pointed the muzzle at the next target, "so remote places where there are so many zombies."
“There’s only going to be more in town,” Jason pulled down an empty clip and changed it to a new one. After the grenade was just dropped, the fire at the muzzle of his hand did not stop.
"Major, we must get rid of the zombies in front of us as soon as possible," Tom looked around and found the zombies in all directions, "and we'll get rid of them and we'll get out of our hands against the enemies in other directions."
“Strengthen again, guys.”Jason simply put up his gun to stop aiming and switched to a straight-shooting position.Although the hit rate will decrease, after the shooting speed comes up, the coverage area of the fire will increase.
“MD, finally kill one,” Thompson excites a little, and in the shooting he finally broke the neck of a zombie, whose head rolled down from his neck and fell powerily to the ground.
After calming down, the cowboy quickly snatched the second zombie.
"This guy did a good job," Tom said to Jason, "it's a soldier's piece of stuff."
“Well,” Jason said without replying, still focusing on the zombies in front of him.
“How are they,” Jason asked.
"I've got them in the car," Tom said. "It's not time for them to take up their arms."
“Everyone pulled back,” Jason continued to fire with a gun in one hand and a walkie-talkie in one hand, “we’re all shrinking the defensive circle around the truck.”
“Received.”
"Received, and we will return immediately now."
The scattered gunfire began to move closer to the location of the truck, and the figure in the camouflage uniform came out from several different directions around, cleaning up the zombies encountered along the way and ran toward the truck.
“Cowboy, cover them,” Tom shouted to Thompson.
“Okay,” Thompson turned the muzzle and began to cover the withdrawn soldiers.
The last zombie in front fell in a position less than three meters away from Jason, looking at it, the road from the warehouse to here was covered with corpses, and the soil of the road was stained with black brown color, and the air was full of fishy odor.
Everyone's feet were covered with empty shells, and some had been trampled into the soil.
"Tom, you take two people to check on the warehouse," Jason shouted to the soldiers around him, "the others and I'm standing here in the truck."
“Cowboy, come with me,” Tom patted Thompson on the shoulder and shouted to another soldier to walk in the direction of the warehouse.
They carefully bypassed the corpses on the ground, and were on guard against the undead zombies suddenly coming up and biting.
The doors of the warehouse were open, the wooden doors were stained with scarlet blood, and the bodies of Rodrigues and his squad members could no longer be seen on the ground.Next to it were some broken fan color cloth, and a few blood-stained guns were thrown on the ground, and a shiny cylindrical metal object caught Tom’s attention.
Tom went over and picked it up, and found it just a flashlight, and the thing with him with one of his own.Tom threw the flashlight aside and took Thompson and Tracy into the warehouse.
The space in the warehouse is very large, and there are several extinguished fires in the middle of the warehouse, each with a pot, and the food in the pot has been spoiled. There are traces of people lying on the rice bags and grass piles around, and the traces of life in this warehouse are very strong.
Tom carefully observed all around, and as they walked into the warehouse, the light began to dim.Tom and Tracy pulled out the flashlight they were carrying and mounted it on the barrel.
The light illuminated the view ahead, and the trio found that the food reserves inside were very abundant, and along the wall, they also found a water pipe that was being picked up from outside.
Tom followed the water pipe to the side of the pool, and he unscattered the faucet above, only to see the water gushing out of it.
The battle just now made the smell of smoke on the farm very thick, and Tom felt that his voice was a little dry, and he stretched out his hands under the faucet to take a pinch of water, ready to take a sip first, and then wash his face.
His hand was caught when he reached his mouth, and Tom looked back and found Thompson standing behind him.
“What happened?”Tom asked.
"I think something's wrong, you'd better not touch something," Thompson said. "including the water that flows out of the tube."
Tom’s face, though doubtful, poured the water in his hand into the pool, and he had developed a trust in the cowboy.
Three men searched the warehouse and found no survivors or potential threats. They walked out of the warehouse and circled it around again, beginning to check the situation around them.
Thompson came to the back of the warehouse, where he saw a well of water, and a pipe was sticking out of the metal box next to the well and sticking into the warehouse. That was the pipe that had just been seen inside the pool, Thompson thought. He walked over and found a piece of wood covered with a well.
"Tom, Tracy," cried Thompson, "there's a situation here."
Tom and Tracy came from the neighborhood after hearing the shouts, and they saw Thompson standing next to a metal box.
“Is that this thing?”Tom pointed to the metal box and asked.
"No, this is just a booster," said Thompson, pointing to the lid above the water well. "It's a broken piece here, and you'd better take a look below."
Tom lifted the lid on the well, and the sound above reached the bottom of the well, and then Tom heard the sound of splashes beneath it.
"There's something under the well," said Tom, and he shone the flashlight down, and found that there seemed to be a man floating in the water at the bottom of the well.
After seeing the situation below, Tom took a cold breath, and a chill rose from behind, and the hair on his body was raised.
“Fuck, there’s a zombie in the water at the bottom of the well,” Tom said to Thompson and Tracy, thinking that he had almost drunk the well in the warehouse just now, but Thompson had stopped himself in time.
“Thank you for saving me, cowboy,” Tom cast a grateful look at Thompson.
“Did I save you?”Thompson did not react.
“Yes, the people in the warehouse should have taken refuge inside, and a zombie accidentally fell into a well to destroy the water source, causing the survivors inside to be infected after using the well water.”Tom gave his analysis.
“So,” Thompson and Tracy both understood.
The three men were ready to return to the truck, and as they left, Tom pulled out the last grenade and threw it into the well.
At the same time as the sound of explosions came from behind them, a plume of water sprang up from the well, and some broken human tissue was mixed with water droplets and fell on the surrounding open space.
“What happened to the explosion?”Jason saw the three men who were returning and asked them.
“The water in the warehouse was contaminated, and the zombies were survivors who had been hiding inside,” Tom said, pointing to the bodies along the road. “They used contaminated well water in the warehouse and everyone was infected.”
Jason took a deep breath, and the news that Tom brought back made him very depressed: a zombie fell into the well, the water inside was contaminated, dozens of survivors hiding in the warehouse drank these polluted well water and all mutated into zombies, and finally four of his brothers died at their hands.
"What's the matter with this TM," Jason cursed, "only the movie will be made that way."
